SURETYFORGE

About SuretyForge

Built to do the work of surety.

SuretyForge reads the documents, maps the data, and runs the workflows of the bond lifecycle — built on one live bond record, so the work only ever has to happen once.

The thesis

Why surety deserves its own platform

Today, a single bond usually lives in three places at once: the agency’s management system, the carrier’s underwriting and policy admin system, and a patchwork of email threads, PDFs, and spreadsheets in between. Each side keeps its own copy. Each copy drifts — a rate change here, a rider there, a payment posted on one side and never reflected on the other — until reconciling them becomes its own quiet, recurring cost.

Surety makes this harder than ordinary insurance, because a bond isn’t a two-party contract. It’s a triangular obligation between principal, obligee, and surety, carried through the indemnity chain, often with no fixed term until it’s formally released. Every renewal, every rider, every claim touches all three sides of that triangle — and today, all three sides work from records that never fully agree with each other.

SuretyForge starts by fixing that at the root — one bond record, issued once and paid once, that everyone works instead of copying. But the record is the foundation, not the product. What we actually build is the work on top of it: a platform that reads the paper, maps whatever your book calls a field onto thousands of statutory forms, and runs the renewals, notices, and follow-ups itself — while the judgment calls stay exactly where they belong, with the people who write the business.

Corban Enns

Founder

Corban Enns is the founder of SuretyForge. He designed and built the platform end to end — the bond lifecycle engine, the carrier and agency data model, the underwriting workflows, and the shared-record architecture the whole system is built around — and leads product and engineering today. SuretyForge is built and running: a working system that models the full bond lifecycle, from origination through underwriting, issuance, and renewal. Corban is based in Salem, Oregon, where SuretyForge is headquartered.
